Adrianna Edwards Biography
Adrianna Edwards is a waitress, She walked almost 14 miles to and from work at a Denny’s in the city of Galveston. Edwards, who was saving money to purchase a car, was forced to make the more than five hour walk almost daily to reach her job.
The couple left the hotel after lunch, but returned a few hours later with a surprise for Edwards.
They gave him a 2011 Nissan Sentra that they had just bought from the Classic Galveston Auto Group.
When Edwards went to work Tuesday morning, he had no idea that he would go home with his new car.
A couple who wanted to remain anonymous sat in their apartment for breakfast and finally learned about the young woman’s daily struggle.
The new car shortens the one-hour trip from Edwards to a simple 30-minute trip.
It will also help Edwards start college earlier than originally thought.
She said: ‘I still feel like I’m dreaming. Every two hours I look out the window and see if there is a car left.’
The generous couple was glad Edwards appreciated the gift but didn’t want it.
“It collapsed, which made me happy that I was so moved,” the woman said.
Instead, the couple just wants Edwards to transmit it and help others who need it.
“I know it’s Thanksgiving, but I said Merry Christmas and I hope one day I will pay for it,” said the woman.
Edwards is very happy to obey him.
“If I see someone who needs it, it is more likely to help him (and) do anything to help him,” Edwards said.
She continued: “I only hope that one day, when I am financially stable, I can help someone in need.”
